Experience Calella's 2026 Town Festival
September is one of the most important months of the year for the people of Calella. The town’s Festa Major is just around the corner, and before long, the streets will come alive with festivities, excitement and celebration. From 22 to 27 September, Calella Town Council has organised a programme packed with activities, parades and concerts, giving everyone the chance to enjoy the Festa Major and experience the town’s traditions and culture. And here at Hotel Bernat II, we want you to enjoy an unforgettable few days in Calella with us!

Actividades de la Fiesta Mayor de Calella
Sunday, September 13
8:00 a.m., starting from Paseo Manuel Puigvert (near Bar Rodó), 25th Minerva Walk. Choose from two routes: 22 km and 13 km.
Price: 12 € (includes a T-shirt, refreshments along the route, and breakfast upon arrival).

Tuesday, September 22
From September 22 to 27, at Riera Capaspre and Passeig de les Roques, there will be a carnival. On the 23rd, there will be a special 2-for-1 promotion for Children’s Day. Get 2 tickets for the price of 1!

9:00 p.m., in the Town Hall Square: Opening address for the Town Festival delivered by the Unió Esportiva Handbol Calella, marking Calella’s designation as the City of Catalan Handball. Performance by the international company Pablo Méndez. Performance of the Dance of the She-Wolf and the Dance of the Giants of Calella, Quirze, and Minerva by the Colla de Geganters de Calella. 10:30 p.m., in the tent: a concert by Barraques featuring Dani6ix & Izzkid, The Tyets, and Orquestra Maribel, followed by a set with DJ Jorge Peñafiel. Free admission. Wednesday, September 23
September 23–27, on Paseo Manuel Puigvert: the 45th Calella and Alt Maresme Fair, “Culture of the Sea and the Mountains.”
10:50 a.m., from the Town Hall Square: an escort by the authorities and the entrance of Quirze and Minerva into the parish church, led by the Colla de Geganters i Grallers de Calella.
11:00 a.m. – 10:00 p.m., on Paseo Manuel Puigvert: 45th Calella and Alt Maresme Fair, Culture of the Sea and the Mountains.
11:00 a.m., at the Fair, a sardana performance by Cobla La Principal de la Bisbal.
11:00 a.m., at the Church of Santa Maria i Sant Nicolau, Festival Mass. The service will be presided over by Friar Octavi Vilà, Bishop of Girona. Musical accompaniment for the Mass will be provided by Xavier Garcia Cardona. Bell ringing and the blessing of the Santa Maria bell will take place after the Mass.
12:00 p.m., at the Fairgrounds: children’s entertainment show by Coloraines Band.

9:00 a.m., on Església Street (between Cervantes and Balmes), lined with giants participating in the 43rd Giants’ Gathering. This will be followed by a community breakfast in Lluís Gallart Square. Price: €2. Organized by: Colla de Geganters i Grallers de Calella.
