Family-friendly activities in Calella
Calella’s beaches are designed so that both children and adults can find leisure options to suit their tastes.

- Stand-up paddleboarding: One of the most popular activities is stand-up paddleboarding. It’s a fun experience, easy to learn and perfect for sharing as a family whilst enjoying a different view of the coast.
- Kayaking: Exploring the coast by kayak is another excellent option for those looking for a peaceful and safe activity. You can hire single or double kayaks and explore the coastline at your own pace.
- Floating water park: During the summer season, a large inflatable water park is set up on the sea off the Paseo de les Roques, featuring slides, obstacles, trampolines and play areas. It’s a favourite activity for children, teenagers and groups of friends.
- Dog-friendly beach: If you’re travelling with your pet, Calella has a designated dog-friendly area on Playa Grande during the authorised season, so the whole family can enjoy the beach too.
- Boat trips: Boats depart from the jetty at Playa Grande for trips to various destinations along the Costa Brava – a highly recommended experience to round off your holiday.
