The Festa Major Petita brings Calella to life from June 13th to 16th
tradition, culture and family activities
June in Calella means celebration. The town honors its patron saints, Sant Quirze and Santa Julita, with the Festa Major Petita—one of the most cherished events on the local calendar. From June 13 to 16, Calella becomes a vibrant stage of culture, tradition and community spirit, offering a packed and diverse program for all ages.
The festival blends deep-rooted traditions with cultural and family-oriented activities: parades, children’s shows, concerts, dance and circus festivals, and popular street dinners. In 2025, the event takes on a special significance with the revival of the kite flying tradition in tribute to Jaume Pruna, a beloved local cultural activist. This edition, more ambitious than ever, highlights the importance of folk culture and community engagement. It’s a celebration for locals and visitors alike to enjoy Calella at its festive best.
